With More Construction Downtown, Parking is scarce so avoid Parking Issues--- Renew your License Plates by:

* Mailing in your Renewal (just follow the instructions on your renewal card)

*Going Online at Drive.KY.Gov click here

*Calling in your Renewal (270-685-8434 Ext. 2) from 8:00AM until 3:00PM Monday thru Friday (At the end of the month, this service may not be available during lunch hours or the last day of each month due to the volume of customers in the office)

*Using the Automated System 24 hours a day by calling 1-877-885-3013  (You will need your vehicles title number, renewal notice amount, and credit card to process your renewal over the phone; your title number is located on your title or your old registration.)

​Renewing by Phone or using the Automated System will not be available on the Last Day of Each Month 

If there is a specific document you need a copy of we will be glad to assist you. The records in our office are public records with the exception of Military Discharge Papers. Our office does not perform title searches or do research for customers.

There are 2 methods to request copies:

  1. You may come to our office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. to obtain copies in person.
  2. You may mail in a written request and payment to our office. The written request must state what type of document you want a copy of along with any necessary information pertaining to the document in order to locate it. Please include a return to mailing address on the request. Please allow up to 3 business days after receiving the request in order to process it.


For a recorded document:
Photocopy - $0.50 per page
Certified copy - $5.00 for the first three pages and then $0.50 per page after that

For a plat:
Photocopy - $1.00
Certified copy - $5.00

For a marriage license:
Photocopy - $0.50 per page
Certified copy - $5.00

*If requesting a copy by mail, include an extra $1.00 for postage and handling.

Method of payment: Our office accepts cash, cashier's check, certified check, business check or money order. Personal checks are accepted for mail in requests only and must have all the information pre-printed on the check. Counter checks are not accepted. Make checks payable to Daviess County Clerk.
